ER Squared, Inc was founded in Oct 2008 by Robert Musterer to pursue three lines of business: consulting, business development, and product development. Robert acquired over 25 years of Pharmaceutical experience in 3 different companies before starting ER Squared. His experience includes first-hand experience as a clinical data manager, SAS programmer, EDC developer, Manager and Director. After obtaining extensive experience on the business unit side, Robert also assumed responsibilities for the IS support of clinical systems. The result being that he held two positions at Bayer HealthCare: Director Clinical Systems and Head Center of Excellence for Clinical Systems. In these roles, Robert directed and managed a global staff distributed over 5 groups of system analysts responsible for a variety of operational programming support and general information system support.

Operational support included clinical trial support activities ranging from electronic data capture application development, to data management support, to statistical support. General information systems support covered a variety of systems including the core electronic data capture system, the SAS environment, and global drug safety (pharmacovigilance). Major projects have included: the industry's first adoption of EDC for 100% of all clinical trials – first domestically and then globally; creation of numerous data management tools; management of internal EDC system development; consolidation of numerous local SAS installations into one common centralized global environment; selection and deployment of a next generation EDC system; selection of a new system for Pharmacovigilance.

In addition to years of industry experience, Robert also holds an MBA (Masters of Business Administration) from prestigious New York University. This combination of business, operational, and information systems expertise is brought to bear to provide exceptional guidance and consulting to ER Squared's customers to best leverage their systems investment to maximize business value.
